From there we go in private transport to the ruins near Sacsayhuaman, a place of great cultural importance to the Incas which later served as a fortress for the Spanish. You will be surprised by the enormous carved granite stones. Next we’re off to Qenqo, a labryinth-type ruin which some believe served in some kind of death rituals, and or possiby the site where Incas were embalmed. We continue to Puca Pukara, a military observation post with great stone walls, terraces and stairs. Our last stop is Tambomachay, the Incan baths made by constructing 4 stone walls directly in the side of a hill. After a busy but fascinating tour we return to Cusco.
