Waqrapukara Full Day

Waqrapukara

Pick up from the hotel early in the morning to head south from Cusco. We will travel for about 3 hours to the community of Pitumarca, from where we will begin an 8 km walk. up to Waqrapukara, where we can identify the flora of the place. When we reach the highest point, we will take a break and then continue to Waqrapukara, at 4300 m s. n. m. Our destination is believed to be a first-rate sanctuary with a political and religious power that has not yet been deciphered, and that we will have the opportunity to visit and know about its history and take pictures. In addition, we will have a privileged view that gives the landscape in which this fortress was built. After lunch, we will visit the archaeological zone before starting the return to Pitumarca, where we will take our vehicle back to the center of Cusco
