Inca trail 4D/3N

The Inca Trail is considered the most famous trek in South America and is rated by many travelers as one of the five best treks in the world, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes, mountains and forests rich in flora and fauna, you will visit archaeological sites and much more in the route until reaching the sanctuary of Machupicchu.

Please note that you need to reserve at least 3-6 months in advance as permits are sold quickly through the official system.

ITINERARY

Day 1.- Cusco – Piscacucho

We leave Cusco, to start our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Inkas, to the town of Ollantaytambo. Then we will continue until km 82 of the railway that leads to Machu Picchu. It is in this sector, called Piscacucho, where we meet our porters and where we will register with the authorities, we will begin our walk through this section of the famous Qapaq Ñam or the Great Inca Trail.

Day 2.- Huayllabamba – Abra Warmi Wañusqa – Pacaymayo

This day will be arduous on our way, prepared to face our first height challenge, the Warmi Wañuska pass. To achieve our goal, along the way we will appreciate the different ecological floors that the Inkas dominated to build this wonderful path.

From this pass, we will be able to see the magnificent geography of the southern Andes, we will start along a beautiful path, our descent to the Pacaymayo camp, where we will have our food and spend the night.

Day 3.- Paqaymayo – Abra Runkuraqay – Phuyupatamarka – Wiñay Wayna

After breakfast, second height challenge, we will climb the Runkurakay pass; but first we will pass through the archaeological site of the same name, which will leave us surprised by its beauty, the ascending path towards the pass will take us through a beautiful landscape. small lagoons will decorate our walk.

After the pass, we will descend from an ecological floor observing the environment. Upon reaching the Phuyupatamarka sector we will have the opportunity to visit the viewpoint, where we will witness a powerful landscape, being surrounded by sacred mountains and the back of the Machu Picchu mountain. We will also visit the small but complex archaeological site of Phuyu, then start our way of stone stairs to the Wiñay Wayna camp. Once located in our camp we will enjoy a good rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 4.- Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

We will leave in the morning until we reach Inti Punku, the gateway to the sacred city of Machu Picchu.

We will visit the Sanctuary, guided by a professional guide, temples, water fountains, astronomical observatories, shrines, filling ourselves with energy and spiritual vibes.

After this adventure we will return to the town of Machupicchu for lunch, and on our way back to the city of Cusco, we will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy Station and transfer to the hotel in Cusco
